The high-wear toe is protected by a rubber scuff-resistant layer that helps prevent damage caused by contact with obstacles, rubble or rocks. Protection against water is provided by the hydrophobic microporous REGI-TEX® membrane, while internal comfort is enhanced by the antibacterial ABSORBA XTR insole with activated carbon, which helps reduce unpleasant odours. An important part of the construction is the branded Vibram® 187C outsole made from EVA foam and rubber, offering SR slip resistance, resistance to fuel oils, contact heat and cold.
