SA M4A1 CQB (SA-C04 CORE™ HAL ETU™ Gen2) Rifle is equipped with the HAL ETU™ electronic processor unit, which takes the rifle’s performance to a whole new level. With this upgrade, Specna Arms moves from mid‑range into the elite company of brands offering the latest technological features as standard. The name HAL comes from the principle of the Hall effect sensor, which detects trigger sensitivity. It also increases the rate of fire and allows safe use of 7.4 V and 11.1 V Li‑Po batteries. They’ve also installed a fully redesigned reinforced gearbox called ÆTHER, capable of handling AEG springs up to M140. Accuracy is ensured by a 6.03 mm inner barrel fitted with a Helium Flat‑Hop bucking in an upgraded MAGNUS™ chamber with TDC pressure system. They’ve also included the QSC ESA quick‑spring change system, which allows you to install stronger or lighter springs at will. No need to remove the gearbox from the receiver—the spring change is done easily via the stock tube.

Warnings

• Some aftermarket springs are overpowered (e.g. M130 ≈ M140‑150), potentially exceeding gearbox limits. Use only Specna Arms springs. If using other brands, stick to M120 springs to avoid damage.
• When installing progressive‑wound springs, ensure the end with tighter coils faces outward from the gearbox.
• Never store the rifle with the battery connected.

How to Activate the Rifle

To fire the rifle, you must activate the HAL ETU™ unit following this exact procedure, otherwise it won’t respond to the battery:

1. Switch the fire selector to Safe.
2. Insert the battery and wait 3 seconds for the beep.
3. Hold the trigger for 5 seconds until the second beep.
