Taped seams provide additional protection for zippers against rain. They effectively block water without compromising the smoothness of the zippers. The practical YKK® two-way main zipper and Prym snap button keep the jacket waterproof and allow for easy adjustment while moving in the field. The outer layer is protected by a water-repellent DWR coating. The long-lasting water repellency increases the fabric's resistance to dirt, reduces saturation, and slows down moisture penetration. It is also free of harmful perfluorocarbons (PFCs). This makes the product easier to care for and helps maintain its properties over time. However, the coating loses its properties over time, so it is important to renew it regularly with the appropriate waterproofing agent.
