Instructions for putting the rifle into operation
Before you can fire the rifle, you must activate the HAL ETU unit and follow this procedure exactly; otherwise, the rifle will not respond to the connected battery:
- Move the fire selector to the Safe position.
- Connect the battery and wait 3 seconds until you hear a beep.
- Press the trigger and hold it for 5 seconds until you hear another beep.
- The rifle is now ready for use.
Warnings
- Battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately.
- Before first use, the HAL ETU™ unit must be calibrated (see above).
- Springs from some manufacturers are significantly overrated (e.g. an M130 spring may deliver performance corresponding to M140-150), and their actual output could exceed the declared durability limits of the gearbox. We recommend using only the included Specna Arms springs. When using springs from other manufacturers, we recommend choosing an M120 spring to reduce the risk of damaging the rifle with a spring that does not correspond to its stated rating.
- When replacing a spring with progressive (non-uniform) coils, make sure that the end of the spring with the more tightly wound coils is positioned on the spring guide, facing outwards from the gearbox.
- Never store the rifle with the battery connected.
- Never store the rifle with pre-cocking activated. Before storing the rifle, always release the piston to its forward position to prevent unnecessary stress or damage to the spring.
